Diary > Free at last!

Yes, we’re all pretty relieved now to be finished with exams, college, education and all that jazz! (Hopefully for good!) We’ve been winding down from all the stress, having a laugh together and with mates.

Last week, the four of us took a camping trip to the Lake District for the week and it was just a really good chance for us to re-familiarise ourselves again, and get settled together, and also for us to get away from everything and be somewhere quiet and beautiful!… etc etc…!

We had a lot of fun anyway, including downhill mountain biking, making friends at the local Keswick pub, boating, playing a lot of table tennis, getting sunburnt (Ste in particular!), and also sitting in the cold on the shore of the lake Thirlmere, with a portable keyboard and guitar, having a little jam session! It was quite a peculiar sight!

But now we’re back and we mean business. We’ve started a strict “band practice every weekday” regime, and we’re going to try and write as much as possible over the summer. We’ve got two completely unheard songs for you, and we hope to have many many more soon!

We’ve not got any gigs booked yet, and we only plan on playing a few over the summer, so make sure you can come along to them and hear the new songs we’ll have been writing!

Anyway, the trip to the Lake District and other random bits of filming will give us a decent amount of material to make another video blog or two, which get great responses from you all! We accidentally stumbled onto a brilliant idea when we started making the Video Blogs!

We’ll also have the DVD from the May 2nd gig sometime soon. We’ll let you know when it’s finished!

Diary > Revision is hard!

So yeah, we’re all in the middle of exams now, and it’s really taken a toll on our gig list!

But, fear not, as we’ve got a show for you on 19th June after all exams are finished, at Bar 1:22 in Huddersfield. It’d be great to get everyone along to it, and will be an awesome celebration for the end of exams!

Cheers for everyone that came to the 2nd May gig at Huddersfield Irish Centre. It was a massive success and everyone had a great night! Jack and Rod have put a lot of hard work into editing the footage, so hopefully that will be finished soon for all to see.

Also, you may notice we haven’t had a video blog in a while. Many people have said how much they love the video blogs, so hopefully we’ll have enough footage to make a new one soon! We’ve just been so busy with exams, but when we’ve got more time to have fun with ‘The Blog Cam’ (as provided by Jack!) we’ll keep posting more blogs!

It was Jake, Ste and Josh’s Birthdays on the 10th and 11th, so Happy Birthday to them! And, as of my birthday on the 31st May, we’ll all be 18, which will be great!

Keep checking the site for more news on the band. We’ve got a lot in store for this summer, so keep in touch!

Diary > 2nd May ‘08 - Huddersfield Irish Centre!

Ten Floors, as you may have noticed, do not have many gigs booked at the moment for the future. This is because we’re going to have to do some serious studying for our exams in May/June time. These are the final exams of our A-levels, so as you can guess, they’re pretty important!

We have some pretty big things coming up in the future, and after our exams, we’ll be starting to put all our time into the band. We’ll be going into writing mode for a while, and then we’ll be back to touring and other things to keep us busy!

But for now, come to the gigs we do have booked and show all the support you can! Our gig on 2nd May at Huddersfield Irish Centre will be quite an important gig for us, as we won’t be seeing a lot of the people there again for a long time, because of University and such… So, expect a VERY good night!

Tickets are now available on our online shop at www.tenfloors.co.uk/shop, or locally through the band members. We urge you to buy as soon as possible to get yours as this gig is likely to sell out!
